Network for Learning (N4L) is a Crown-owned technology company that, throughout Aotearoa, provides faster, safer internet for schools and kura through a wide range of managed broadband, Wi-Fi, and cybersecurity products and services, referred to as N4L’s Managed Network. Existing contracts expire in 2026, and formal planning for the next generation of Managed Network services, referred to as MN3.0, has commenced. N4L is seeking to confirm the required replacement network equipment and internet service provision by mid-2024. This will provide the necessary lead time to replace network equipment that is approaching end of service, and to ensure smooth cutover and/or continuity of N4L monitoring and support services for school internet connections.
N4L is therefore releasing this Advance Notice through the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) to advise that it intends to go to market in the near future to identify and engage a preferred supplier(s) to provide internet services and/or supply network equipment to the Managed Network solution nationally.
