Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai Tokerau / the Northern Region of Health NZ (the Buyer) requires a contractor to undertake Asbestos removal and demolition of three buildings within the Whangarei Hospital campus.
The demolition projects include the Central stores Building; the Child Health Building and Whanau House, which are all located within the North-West corners of the hospital site, adjacent to carpark 16.
The demolition projects will be procured as three Separable Portions, respectively programmed at specific times between February 2023 and mid-2026.
This programme will span three years; and the forecast budget covering all three demolitions is in the region of $3M.
The buildings will be demolished to make way for construction of new buildings on-site, including the radiation oncology building, and Whangarei’s hospital redevelopment acute services building.
