Overview

The Ministry of Transport (the Ministry) operates Milford Sound / Piopiotahi aerodrome (the aerodrome), which is located at the head of Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park.

The Ministry is seeking an experienced provider for day-to-day management of the aerodrome, in accordance with requirements for a qualifying aerodrome under Civil Aviation Rule Part 139. The aerodrome manager will be responsible for operational management of the aerodrome, including maintenance, health and safety, and engagement with users of the aerodrome and other key local stakeholders.
