Overview

The Ministry of Transport (the Ministry) operates Milford Sound / Piopiotahi aerodrome (the aerodrome), which is located at the head of Milford Sound in the Fiordland National Park. Following an aeronautical study of the aerodrome and its surroundings, the Director of Civil Aviation has determined that the aerodrome is to be managed under a qualifying aerodrome operator certificate, in accordance with requirements for a qualifying aerodrome under Civil Aviation Rule Part 139.

The Ministry is seeking an experienced provider to work with the aerodrome’s management to develop and deliver any and all requirements needed under Civil Aviation Rule Part 139. This will include an aerodrome exposition and system for safety management.
