Overview

The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) is looking to contract with social service providers for the provision of specialist sexual violence acute crisis response services for victim/survivors of sexual violence in parts of New Zealand where there are identified gaps in service.

As part of the short-term response to sexual violence, while longer term planning is underway, MSD has time-limited funding available and is looking to evaluate, select and contract with providers that have the experience, capability and capacity to deliver these services.

Our overall objective is to improve access and national coverage in the areas of frontline service delivery, and supporting infrastructure, including training, and provision of information about services, through services that are:
• high quality
• culturally responsive
• outcome focussed.

We are inviting proposals from existing specialist sexual violence service providers, either individually or in collaboration with other organisations. In geographic areas where there are no sexual violence service providers, we invite proposals from organisations who can demonstrate safe and high quality responses to victim/survivors of sexual violence during and immediately following a crisis.
