The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) seeks to engage providers to undertake delivery of the Sole Parent Employment Placement Service from January 2014.
The service will have a primary target group of Work and Income sole parent Job Seekers that have a fulltime work obligation due to their youngest dependent child being aged 14 years or over. However clients who are receiving Sole Parent Support with a part time work obligation who are seeking fulltime employment will also be eligible for this service.
The Sole Parent Employment Placement Service (SPEPS) aims to assist clients to prepare for and achieve sustainable employment. This service assists clients to get the right support to prepare for, transition into, and stay in work. The service is a sixteen (16) week programme. An additional eight (8) weeks will be made available for the provider to continue to search for suitable employment for the participant. Post placement support will be provided to participants placed into employment for a minimum of 365 days.
The Sole Parent Employment Placement Service is required to assist 335 sole parent clients across the Auckland Region from January 2015 to June 2015.
Participants will be referred to the Sole Parent Employment Placement Service by Work and Income. All participants will be in receipt of financial assistance from Work and Income.
