The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) seeks to engage providers to undertake delivery of the Sole Parent Employment Coaching (SPEC) service from January 2015.
The service will have a primary target group of Work and Income sole parent Job Seekers that have a fulltime work obligation due to their youngest dependent child being aged 14 years or over. However clients who are receiving Sole Parent Support with a part time work obligation who are seeking fulltime employment will also be eligible for this service.
The SPEC is a four to six week intensive coaching programme which provides clients with guidance, support and motivation to transition into a positive destination with an emphasis on supporting clients into the following outcomes:
• Work Ready/Fulltime Employment
• Study (fulltime)
• Referral to the Sole Parent Employment Placement Service
With approval, a further three (3) weeks will be allowed for the provider to continue the transition into further education or employment with the client.
The Sole Parent Employment Coaching service is required to assist 400 sole parent clients across the Auckland Region from January 2015 to June 2015.
