We are seeking a Supplier committed to delivering the Forensic Co-ordination Service for Intellectual Disability (FCS(ID)) by a transition date no later than 1 September 2025. This will also include joint transition planning and project management beginning in April 2025. In addition, we are seeking a Supplier to commit to a closed recruitment process for existing FCS(ID) staff in DSS, with employment checks to begin in June 2025 and completed by 1 August 2025.
The Supplier will adopt a nationwide service that coordinates the safe management of people with intellectual disabilities within the High and Complex Framework (the Framework). The Framework provides a pathway for offenders with an intellectual disability away from the criminal justice and mental health systems towards more appropriate disability services. This service has statutory responsibilities for administering the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) Act 2003 (IDCCR Act) and related legislation for people subject to these Acts. The Supplier will have experience and competency to provide robust legal, clinical, and managerial oversight.
