This Tender is for the Work and Income - Central Region Only
• The region is home to over 200 Service Delivery staff that provide services from eight service centres
• Supported by our regional office in Palmerston North led by Regional Commissioner, Katie Brosnahan.
• Our geographical area extends from the Wairarapa over to the Tararua and southward encompassing the
• Manawatu, Horowhenua and Kapiti districts.
• Our region’s population is approximately 245,000. We provide services to nearly 69,500. There are
• Approximately 19,000 clients on the unemployment register in our region.
MSD is seeking providers with proven experience in providing successful employment services. They should have the ability to provide a service that addresses client’s individual needs and circumstances in order to support clients to move into sustainable employment as quickly as possible.
Successful providers will have a good understanding of the barriers to employment that Sole Parents face, good employer networks and strong relationships with other organisations in the community that can help provide further support to Sole parents as they enter and remain in employment.
The aim of the Building Futures for Sole Parents is to assist Sole Parent clients to prepare for and achieve sustainable employment.
