MSD is seeking proposals to be submitted aimed at supporting clients into sustainable employment. This service should include both of the service components outlined below. Service participants will in general have been assessed by MSD and have a full time work obligation (defined as needing to achieve 30 hours employment per week) or part time work obligation (currently defined as needing to achieve 15 hours employment per week).
MSD is seeking provision of these services to support clients in the Marton, Taihape, Ohakune, New Plymouth, Waitara, Hawera and Stratford area. We are seeking localised service for our clients and wish to purchase service with premises in these locations or mobile services where clients will receive a localised individualised service. All participant referrals to the service must be from Work and Income.
Pre-Employment Preparation and Support
The aim of this component is to support clients to develop motivation, self-awareness, overcome barriers and create a viable plan to achieve their career aspirations.
Employment Placement and Support
The aim of this component is to support clients into employment that aligns with their work obligations. Clients will receive expert employment related training and up skilling that will successfully assist the client into employment. Once employment is achieved both the client and employer will receive intensive post placement support for a minimum of 91 days. During this time the Provider will support the needs of both the client and the employer to create s sustainable employment environment.
The outcomes targets of this service are that at least 64% of clients will achieve employment that aligns with their work obligations and of those 80% of clients will remain in employment for 91 days.
MSD expects the service to be delivered to:
26 clients in the Marton, Taihape and Ohakune area;
70 clients in the New Plymouth, Waitara area;
30 clients in the Hawera and Stratford area from 1 July 2016.
