The Ministry of Social Development (MSD) seeks to engage a provider(s) to undertake delivery of Skills for Industry Security Personnel programmes in Waikato, East Coast, Central (Manawatu), Wellington and Southern Work and Income Regions; from 01 October 2015 to 30 June 2016.
The aim of Skills for Industry, Industry Partnership services is to take a demand-led approach, with the needs of industries and employers providing the starting point for their design and development.
Skills for Industry programmes are designed by industry for industry, to provide Work and Income job seekers the necessary skills and job preparation to enter into the employment market.
Skills for Industry, Industry Partnership providers are expected to achieve 70% employment outcomes.
This service will involve two week pre-employment class-room and on the job training followed by job placement within eight weeks of the completion of the training and 91 day mentoring support so that they transition successfully into employment in the security industry.
