We are excited to invite expressions of interest for Pūtea Rangahau – Tuku Haurehu a Ahuwhenua! This funding round is open from 10th February to 12pm, 10th April.

The New Zealand Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Research Centre (NZAGRC) coordinates and funds research into reducing agricultural greenhouse gas emissions. Given the scale and unique operating environment of Māori agribusiness, the NZAGRC funds programmes that align with our Māori Research Strategy.

Pūtea Rangahau – Tuku Haurehu a Ahuwhenua is our main investment mechanism in this area. Pokapū Waro, the Māori research strategy team of the NZAGRC is the rōpu kaiwhakahaere for Pūtea Rangahau. Pokapū Waro is supported by Toihau an independent group of experts in Māori agribusiness and research that provide guidance to the NZAGRC.

Through Pūtea Rangahau – Tuku Haurehu a Ahuwhenua, 2025 round, two funding options are available:
• Seed funding - up to $50k to support development of a detailed project proposal; and
• Project funding - more substantive funding for up to three years
