The Ministry is seeking responses from suitably qualified tenderers for the first stage of this two-stage procurement.
The Auckland, North Shore, Waitakere & Papakura District Courts docks do not currently meet the Ministry’s dock standards and need to be upgraded. The potential risk for absconding from these docks has been acknowledged as high and requires immediate attention.
Most of the docks in this project will be fully replaced and the remainder will require modification to get them up to the new standards.
Each new dock will require a new shroud that is strong enough to take the weight of the security glass, security glass to the agreed heights as detailed in the specifications, seating as detailed in the architect’s drawings and hardware for the dock doors.
• Manufacture and installation of the new docks as per the architect’s drawings & specifications.
• Removal of the existing docks.
• Remediation of walls, floors and any affected existing surfaces following the works
This is the first project in what will be a nationwide programme to bring all docks throughout New Zealand up to the same security standards.
