We require main building contractor services for the Taumarunui District Courthouse refurbishment and upgrade to the sallyport and selected aspects of the Courthouse interior. We are seeking Registrations of Interest from organisations with the capability and expertise to provide the required services.
The way in which the Taumarunui District Courthouse is being used has developed over time and aspects of the building have been found to be insufficient and in need of general updating.
The successful Respondent will be required to carry out internal and external refurbishment/ upgrade works throughout areas of the Taumarunui Courthouse as outlined in Appendix A attached.The proposed alterations are to take place within the public and security sensitive areas of the building. Suppliers will be required to co-ordinate works outside of times these areas are occupied or while the court is not sitting. Careful programming is required to ensure works are not disruptive during occupation.
The key outcomes that we want to achieve are to upgrade with a view to future-proofing these facilities as demand evolves in addition to a general refresh of the buildings’ interior.
