The Ministry of Health is responsible for the planning and funding of Hearing Aids for people with hearing loss who meet the Ministry of Health’s eligibility criteria. Funding for hearing aids is allocated through the Hearing Aid Funding Scheme and the Hearing Aid Subsidy Scheme established by the Hearing Aid Services Notice (2011) issued under section 88 of the New Zealand Public Health and Disability Act 2000.
We are seeking a nationwide supplier able to demonstrate the ability to provide high quality management advice and monitoring regarding hearing aid services and timely processing of requests for Ministry of Health funding towards hearing aids.
