This Request for Proposal (RFP) is an invitation to suitably qualified suppliers to submit a proposal for the supply of :

i. H5N1 pre-pandemic vaccine
ii. An Advance Purchase Agreement (APA) for pandemic influenza vaccine,

The requirement for H5N1 pre-pandemic vaccine is for maintaining a supply of 150,000 courses (300,000 doses) of H5N1 pre-pandemic vaccine over the lifetime of the contract. The Ministry will be open to considering a range of options to achieve this objective, including parameters of; surety of supply, coverage and configuration of supply.

The requirement Advance Purchase Agreement would be triggered on declaration of a pandemic by the World Health Organization and would secure New Zealand a pre-determined priority place in the pandemic influenza vaccine supply queue of the particular provider.
