Overview

Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) owns and operates a national Maritime Aid to Navigation service of 97 Lights, 39 Day Beacons, 6 Buoys and 3 Automatic Identification System (AIS) marks.

MNZ is seeking to identify and engage a number of Respondents with demonstrated knowledge and experience in providing a range of Aid to Navigation maintenance services in New Zealand to form a MNZ Supply Panel that will be pre-qualified to carry out specific pieces of work on behalf of MNZ in relation to routine maintenance, minor maintenance/audits, fault response and upgrades and replacements across the width and breadth of New Zealand.

As the national maritime regulatory, compliance and response agency, Maritime NZ’s vision is: a maritime community that works and plays safely and securely on clean waters. Our mission is: to strive to be a professional, evidence-based, intelligence-led, risk-focused regulatory, compliance and response agency.

SAFE: Our maritime system supports, encourages and requires strong safety standards and behaviours.
SECURE: Our maritime system protects people and goods from unlawful actions as they move across domestic and international waters.
CLEAN: Our marine environment is clean and protected.

It is important that Respondents fully understand that;
"The MNZ maritime Aid to Navigation service is an essential tool used by seafarers for their safety at sea. By maintaining and improving this service, MNZ contributes in a tangible way to making the seas safer and helps to prevent loss of life".
