The purpose of this Registration of Interest (ROI) process is to invite interested parties to register their interest to Maritime New Zealand in providing maintenance and restoration services to the Farewell Spit Lighthouse, which located in a restricted nature reserve area of Golden Bay. Contract works shall include removal and replacement of some steel work and cladding, preparation and protective coating of all steelwork. All necessary scaffolding and resources to be used shall also form part of this contract.
It is expected that the work will commence during the summer/autumn period of the 2015/16 year.
This ROI process is the first stage of the contractor selection process (short listing) while a contestable and competitive Request for Tender (RFT) process will be the second stage. Maritime NZ will shortlist up to three (3) respondents from this ROI to proceed to tender stage.
During the ROI evaluation process respondents will be evaluated on a number of non-price attributes.
