The Board of Trustees for Te Awamutu College are seeking registrations of interest from suitable experienced main building contractors for the following scope:
(a) C Block (Part of MOE Block B):
• Replace fluorescent lighting in Computer Area & C3 with new LED fittings.
• Convert existing darkroom (ancillary to C3) into a media room. Form new dark room facilities in long space along the back of C1 & C2.
• Replace clearlite roofing to skylight above room C2 and above the central resource between C1 & C2 with trafficable material.
• Replace decking timber to deck, ramp and steps outside rooms C1 & C2 (quad side).
• Replace heating system in room C1 with heat pump.
• Fit underfloor insulation to rooms C1, C2 & C3 and the associated habitable ancillary spaces (resource, media, dark room).
(b) R Block (MOE Block C):
• Fit overflashings to 7 roof penetrations (remove skylights and cover) to low roof above toilets.
(c) N Block (MOE Block G):
• Rearrange student toilets to form 6 unisex cubicles with direct exterior access. Provide warm water to basins from existing HWC.
(d) M4 (MOE Block M):
• Replace existing heating system with a more energy efficient system that actually works.
• Upgrade fire alarm to Type 4.
(e) A Block:
• Replace heat pumps in staffroom.
(f) M2 & M3 (MOE Block L):
• Upgrade fire alarm to Type 4.
• Replace fluorescent lighting in M3 ancillary spaces with new LED fittings.
