Overview

1.3 The BoT at Kapiti College is seeking an experienced and reputable civil works contractor to undertake the new paving works to several areas of the site This involves the following work:
• Undertake the new paving works to several areas of the site. The work involves replacement of existing asphalt and concrete paving including kerbs, channels, paths and sump and manhole lids. The works are described in engineering drawings produced by Cuttriss Consultants
• It is envisaged that work will be undertaken in up to 4 stages over the next two years to suit the College cashflow requirements, and to allow the school to continue to operate while the works are undertaken during school term time. The final programme will be negotiated with the successful contractor, but the work will be ready to be started in the 2025 school year.
• Project consultants are:
o Project Manager: Ian Rattray
o Lead Designer Cuttriss Consultants
a. The Contract Works required are civil and hydraulics works as detailed in that attached design documents and as follows
• Uplift existing paving and dispose of offsite.
• Prepare the subbase as detailed
• Reset sump and manhole lids to suit new levels
• Note the central boiler fed heating system flow and return pipes run in concrete ducts under the current paving
• Install new kerbs and channels as details
• Install new paving.
• Dress edges where new paving meets old surfaces
Install new road markings to suit
