Overview

This Request for Tenders (RFT) is an invitation to suitably qualified contractors to submit a Tender for Main Contractor for Inground Sprinkler System Inspection and Repair at Upper Hutt College.
Note for tenderers, the RFT documents refer to this project as stage 2. Stage 1 was the above-ground investigation and has now been completed.

The Contract Works required are:
• Excavate predetermined inspection points to search for leaks in the in-ground sprinkler system and carry out repairs as required.
• Conduct testing of the system to confirm it is holding pressure when/if a leak if discovered.
• The proposed works will affect approximately 10% of the school site.
• The works are intended to be proportioned out so that packages of works can be completed over a 2-week period. These packages of work will be scheduled to coincide with term breaks throughout 2025, with the first package of work intended to commence on 12 April 2025. We are estimating the overall timeframe to complete the works would be 6 weeks. This means we would intend to complete packages of works during the 3 term breaks throughout 2025.
• Description of the site including conditions, known constraints – The proposed works are located through the middle of the school site. Scheduling these works while the school is operational would cause major disruption to school operations and increase hazards needing to be mitigated throughout the delivery of the proposed works.
