The outcome sought of the project is to convert the existing Library to specialist music classrooms and replace the end-of-life roof cladding. This may include:
• The project is focused to remove the existing roof cladding and skylights, and install the new roofing, gutters and flashings. The internal work is expected to remove all internal walls, floor finishes, wall finishes. After that, the school expect to create new music classrooms and band practice rooms.
• This project will be delivered by the main contractor which will carry out the general builder’s work, electrical work and a new ventilation system.
• The work will have separate consents, Stage 1 and 2. Stage 1 is covered the Main building and Stage 2 is for the attached block.
• The proposed timeframe for delivery of both stages is during the school holiday.
• The Stage 1 work is expected to be completed and handover to the school by the end of school Christmas holidays
