The Ministry currently contracts for ferry services to transport intermediate and secondary students from Panepane Wharf Matakana Island to Sulphur Point Tauranga and return on school days.
The Ministry is looking for capable providers who have the capacity, experience, and access to infrastructure to deliver a safe and reliable service for students to and from the locations identified. To be considered, a provider will need to have a good track record and comply with all applicable legislation including but not limited to: the Health and Safety at Work Act, Children’s Act, and Maritime Transport Act.
This ROI is the first step in a two-stage procurement process. Respondents who meet the pre-conditions in this first step will be invited to participate in the second stage.
