The Ministry intends to establish a national panel of suppliers (‘the Directory’) prequalified for capability and capacity from which the Ministry will procure major works contracts over $500,000 through its Capital Works programme.
The Capital Works programme includes construction projects that are funded and delivered by the Ministry and typically relate to projects for:
- New schools
- School rebuilds, refurbishments and redevelopments
- Roll Growth projects
- Weathertightness and structural strengthening projects
The relevant programme of works to be delivered through the Directory is anticipated to have a value of approximately $250m per annum.
It is intended that the RFP will be issued via GETS on or before 22nd September 2017. The closing date for submissions is intended to be 27th October 2017.
The Ministry will hold a number of supplier briefings following the issue of the RFP to support suppliers in understanding the opportunity and the submission requirements.
