The Ministry of Education (“the Ministry”) through its Project Manager TorqueIP Limited (“Torque IP”), notifies the wider market that tender for provision of ICT cabling infrastructure for Shirley Boys High School has been released.
The work is part of the School Network Upgrade Project (SNUP), which is upgrading the internal ICT network infrastructure in schools as part of the wider government Ultra-Fast Broadband in Schools (UFBiS) investment initiative.
The requests for proposal (RFP) is released to organisations who have registered on the Torque IP portal (TIPP) and who have been approved by the Ministry to be on the SNUP – Approved ICT Cabling Installers list. The Ministry’s installers list was last updated in May 2013 and can be viewed at: http://www.minedu.govt.nz/NZEducation/EducationPolicies/Schools/Initiatives/ICTInSchools/ICTInitiativesAndProgrammes/SNUP/IndependentUpgrades/RecomInstallersForCabling.aspx
As a wider note, opportunities for school cabling installation work of a range of values both under SNUP and directly from schools arise from time to time throughout New Zealand and to qualify for these opportunities cabling installers must be on this list.
