THIS IS AN EXTENSION OF TIME AS THE ORIGINAL RFP FOR THIS (RFX ID: 16865088) CLOSED AT 11AM ON 9.11.15 IN ERROR AND IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN AT 5PM - SO WE ARE EXTENDING THIS RFP TO CLOSE ON 10/11/15 AT 5PM. GETS DOES NOT ALLOW THE EXTENSION OF A TENDER DOCUMENT ONCE IT HAS CLOSED THEREFORE WE HAVE HAD TO CREATE A NEW RFP.
FOR SUPPLIERS THAT HAVE SUBMITTED TO THE ORIGINAL RFP (RFX ID: 16865088) YOU DO NOT HAVE TO RESUBMIT FOR THIS ONE. BOTH TENDERS WILL BE UNLOCKED ON 10/11/15 AFTER 5PM WHEN THIS TENDER CLOSES.
The Ministry of Education is seeking quantity surveying services for the design and construction of a new primary school at Takanini.
The Ministry is the owner of the land in Walters Road Takanini (Auckland) on which it proposes to build the new school, which is to open in February 2017.
The proposal is a full primary school (Year 1-8) with a final roll of 700 students and is intended to be built in stages. Stage 1 will comprise all infrastructure (library, administration, resource and hall) for 700 students and teaching accommodation for 350 students. This project is for stage 1 only. A preliminary estimate of the gross floor area to be provided in stage 1 is 2,865 square metres. In addition, a satellite unit for the Northern Health School will be included in the project which will increase the gross floor area by 200 square metres.

The scope is limited to the validation of budget during the design phase, and fiscal management of the construction phase. Project management, consultant engagement, contractor engagement, stakeholder management etc will be undertaken by others.
