Overview
The objectives of this project are to produce quality research pieces that inform how the Crown supports better conditions, access, and choice to achieve improved Māori language and education outcomes through Māori language in early learning environments.
The primary focus of the research is on the early years when whānau are making choices about engaging in Māori medium education, the journey of their children into and within compulsory schooling, and the overall impact Māori medium graduates have made on whānau, hapū and iwi and the revitalisation of te reo Māori.
