The Ministry for the Environment invites applications to the Waste Minimisation Fund to undertake a national waste disposal survey. The successful project will capture data on the number and location waste disposal sites currently not subject to the waste disposal levy, as well as the volume and composition of waste disposed of at these sites.
The Minister for the Environment makes the final decision about which application is invited to proceed to the next stage of the funding process. This involves finalising the details of the project which will be incorporated into the deed of funding. An invitation to this stage is not an approval for funding.
