Overview

We are pleased to invite providers of Parks and Open Spaces Maintenance Services to prepare and submit a response to this Request for Proposal (RFP).

Manawatu District Council Open Spaces Maintenance 2015, is a unique opportunity in the Parks and Open Space activity, for providers to work with us to deliver on our Districts Vision - "connected, vibrant, thriving Manawatu - the best rural lifestyle in New Zealand'.

The aim of Manawatu District Council in this process is to source and select a contractor to deliver best value for money Open Spaces maintenance services for up to eight years from 1 February 2016. We are conscious of the time and effort involved in preparing a proposal so have developed a staged approach that will help ensure Participants are able to invest time and resources commensurate with the two stages.

One of the strengths of this approach is that Participants are able to negotiate price and methodology details that meet MDC’s requirements in the context of their team, experience, local knowledge, methodology and a mutually agreed approach to risk.

The Manawatu District Council has led significant change over the last 24 months, introducing an organisational culture change to support our District’s vision. This culture change has focussed on increasing our responsiveness to our customers and continually looking to improve our customers experiences across every aspect of Council. We look forward to hearing from you as to how you believe your organisation can support us in achieving our transformational shift.

You will note that there is an early opportunity in the programme for you to meet with us to discuss any queries you may have. We encourage you to use this opportunity to help ensure you understand what we are trying to achieve with this procurement of our Open Spaces Maintenance Contract.
