This is an invitation to suitably qualified and experienced Main Contractors to submit a Registration of Interest for the redevelopment and upgrade of the existing Makino Aquatic Centre located at Council Place, Fielding.
This ROI is the first step in a multi-step procurement process. Following evaluation, shortlisted Respondent/s will be invited to submit a Tender proposal. This document deals only with the first step i.e. the ROI process.
We are undertaking a “legacy project for our community”, which will include:
• Build a new dedicated indoor Learn to Swim Pool
• Build a new indoor wet deck area
• Upgrading the entrance areas and reception
• Upgrading existing changing rooms and family rooms
• Undertaking essential seismic strengthening
• Upgrading existing main pool enclosure
• Improved connection of the facility with the CBD
The proposed upgrade comprises of a new reception and change rooms which occupies a similar foot print to that of the existing facilities, along with a new learn to swim pool and wet deck, which is enclosed in an extension around the southern boundary. The new upgrade works occupies a total footprint area of 1100m2 and extends the existing foot print by 660m2.
