This Request for Tender (RFT) is for the provision of Tactical Network (TNet) Equipment for a pilot activity. The scope of the pilot is to acquire sufficient TNet hardware to enable its evaluation as a successor to existing commercial hardware used in support of a deployed battalion headquarters with up to 20 personnel, and its ability to be scaled down to support company headquarters of up to 10 personnel, and further down to liaison teams of up to four personnel.
The TNet Equipment is being acquired under the Network Enabled Army (NEA) Programme by the Ministry of Defence for the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF). Integration design is not part of this RFT.
The Ministry of Defence is responsible for the procurement of the deliverables in the NEA Programme and will conduct acceptance activities when the TNet Equipment is delivered. The NZDF is the end user of the TNet Equipment and will qualify the Equipment for use as an integrated part of NZDF communications capability.
