Overview

Generation 2 of the All-of-Government (AoG) Motor Vehicles contract will expire on 30 June 2025. New Zealand Government Procurement (NZGP) is working to establish a new generation for AoG Motor Vehicles - Generation 3 prior to June 2025.

Following the success of Generation 2, we are looking for Respondents who can help us achieve our objectives throughout the life of the Generation 3 contract. We are committed to delivering a panel of suppliers that can meet the motor vehicle needs of our Eligible Agencies, reducing cost for both Participating Agencies and suppliers by making it easier to purchase motor vehicles.

This is an opportunity to secure a place on the Gen 3 Motor Vehicles Panel for an anticipated term of up to 8 years.

Joining the Gen 3 Motor Vehicles Panel will:
• Give you the opportunity to provide motor vehicles to New Zealand government agencies (including government funded schools).
• Make it easier for you to do business with government agencies, as you will engage using standard terms and conditions rather than having to negotiate a new contract every time.

We require a Panel of Suppliers to provide motor vehicles to Eligible Agencies. Any Successful Respondent must have the capability, capacity and experience to meet the needs of Eligible Agencies, including:
• A commitment to transparency to allow for greater understanding of the wider government fleet.
• Demonstrating proactive approaches to delivering increased value for money for Participating Agencies.
• Capability to service agencies throughout New Zealand.

661 agencies participate in the current Gen 2 Motor Vehicles Panel, under which they spend approximately $132 million procuring 4,000 vehicles on average per annum.
