Currently NZGP has an All-of-Government (AoG) Reticulated Gas Contract, which is due to expire 30 September 2024 (https://www.procurement.govt.nz/contracts/reticulated-gas/). We would like to understand how the market is performing and how it may have changed throughout the term of the current contract.
We are looking for responses from the current provider and providers interested in supplying to Government Agencies.

We are seeking respondents who are able to provide reticulated gas through the open access pipe network through the North Island. We are looking for both current providers and those interested in providing to government to respond, using the form attached.
We wish to determine what the current market looks like. The more information we can use to create an accurate picture of the market, the better the opportunity will be for Providers if the decision is to refresh/renew the Reticulated Gas contract as either a sole source or panel arrangement.
The current Panel includes the following as in-scope services:
• Supply of reticulated natural gas through the open access pipe network
• Gas Time of Use (GTOU) and Gas not Time of Use (GnTOU) options to meet specific agency requirements
• Reporting on usage
• Account management


This is a great opportunity to tell NZGP a bit about your business, how you operate, how the energy supply chain can deliver gas services and how you fit in the current market. This will help us through our planning phase and help steer us in the right direction to improve the outcomes for government gas users and the value to eligible government agencies.
