Currently the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is undertaking a number of office fit outs around the country, with most notably the new Grand Central New Zealand complex in Christchurch, where MBIE is the lead agency for the building. As part of lead agency responsibilities for the building, MBIE is required to supply a number of services which are to be consumed by the other co-located agencies that sit on three floors within the building. One of the services being sought is the Audio Visual (AV) technology solution to be installed within the building, which will allow staff to initiate video conferences between agency offices, and allow users to carry presentations both small and large.
Using the Grand Central Building which is due to go live in October 2016, MBIE requires a single AV supplier to provide a solution which can be implemented within the tight timeframes of the Grand Central project. MBIE has a number of high level requirements based upon current solutions which are deployed throughout current buildings around the country. Suppliers are expected to provide MBIE with the expertise and suggest technology options to help MBIE achieve requirements as the lead agency for Grand Central, but also provide aftermarket support to existing sites, as well as new sites that come on-board.
