Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) is preparing a Request for Tender (RFT) seeking aerial survey companies to deliver LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) elevation datasets covering approximately 100,000 square kilometres across New Zealand. LINZ is coordinating the procurement process on behalf of regional councils.
The RFT is expected to be released in July 2019 on the Government Electronic Tender Service (GETS) at www.gets.govt.nz. The RFT will request tenders for data collection and processing across the participating regions: Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Hawke’s Bay, Tasman, Marlborough, Canterbury, West Coast and Southland.
