Overview
The intent of the project is to construct a third main and turnout arrangement around Plimmerton Station to realise additional operational capacity in the Wellington Metro Rail Network and enable an enhanced timetable to be implemented in 2022. This Advance Notice is for civil construction works associated with track formation for new mains and turnouts, upgrades to Plimmerton Station, including, cutback of the existing island platform and a new lateral platform, extension of the pedestrian underpass at the northern end of the platform and associated drainage, OLE mast foundations and signals ducts.
