Overview

This RFP relates to the purchase of consultants’ services to conduct a comprehensive review of the components of the Kaikōura District Plan contained in Phase One of the District Plan Review Programme.

Kaikoura District Council invites proposals from individuals and organisations qualified and experienced in Resource Management Act planning and specialist technical skills for related report preparation.

This procurement is for the first phase of our District Plan review programme.. It is intended that this programme will be achieved in four phases over the next 10 years. Full details are in the attached documents.

Kaikoura District Council seeks respondents able to demonstrate a strong collaborative approach with all parties involved in the District Plan review and is keen to encourage innovation and efficiency that leads to cost effective outcomes for the Kaikoura community.

The outcomes we want to achieve are:
• Our District Plan reflects community’s values, supports sustainable development and fulfils the community’s environment protection goals.
• Each chapter completed as part of Phase One complies with RMA requirements
• KDC Internal staff skills and experience are further developed by working collaboratively with your team.
• Relationships with iwi and community are maintained and improved
• Community members and stakeholders have a positive experience as a result of comprehensive community and stakeholder engagement throughout the process
