Overview

From this procurement we are looking for a Main Contractor to successfully deliver a modern, functional, and aesthetically pleasing library that meets the needs of the Waikanae community.

The successful Main Contractor for the project needs to be able to deliver to the project timeline, employ effective budget management and provide a high quality of workmanship.

The ROI stage will identify 3-4 potential contractors that will be invited to participate in an interview round. One of those will be selected to engage in a Lite Early Contractor Involvement (ECI-Lite) phase as our preferred contractor. The other 2-3 shortlisted contractors will remain on standby should we wish them to be included in the closed tender process for the main build contract.

At the completion of the ECI-Lite phase (and subject to meeting performance requirements) the preferred contractor will have an exclusive opportunity to submit a contract price and proposal for Council approval. If the submission is not acceptable, Council may choose to invite the other two shortlisted contractors to submit a proposal in a closed tender.
