The Ōtaki Swimming Pool is situated at Haruatai Park, 200 Mill Road, Ōtaki. This facility is due to be upgraded and will involve signifcant construction works being carried out. The existing structural steel frames, slabs, pool tanks and change rooms/plant room will remain, while the roofing, cladding and elements comprising the building envelope over the Lane and Toddler's pools will be demolished and replaced as part of a comprehensive redevelopment. A new pool plant room will be constructed and building services upgraded or replaced. New work will be done to the Toddler's pool filtration system. The existing change rooms, plant room, staff room and accessible change rooms remain. The Lane pool tank will be modified to incorporate a new formed concrete ramp into the pool. The structural steel frames will be modified, purlins added, additional steelwork and girts then reclad with Kinspan & Danpalon panels along with some new double glazed aluminium joinery units.
