Kāpiti Coast District Council is inviting registrations of interest from suitably qualified law firms to provide general legal advice and support.
Please note that although Kāpiti Coast District Council is an eligible agency for the purposes of the All of Government External Legal Services Panel, Kāpiti Coast District Council is not a participating agency.
The purpose of the general legal services tender is to ensure the Council has access to independent external legal advice when required for all areas of local government work excluding the Proposed District Plan and the enforcement and prosecution services which have been the subject of tenders over the last 12 months. This tender is the third of three tenders relating to the Council’s external panel of lawyers. In line with good procurement practice it is appropriate to go through a tender process to ensure Council is getting best value for money.
The scope of services required is the provision of general legal services including commercial, environmental/resource management, property, Employment, Finance, Litigation, Public Law/Administrative Law, and Local Government Law.
Following receipt of registrations of interest, Council will select a short list of firms to proceed to a Full Request for Proposal stage.
Your ROI must contain the following information:
1. Your relevant experience in supporting a Council with general legal advice.
2. The “depth” (e.g. Partners, senior associates, lawyers) of the proposed team that would support Council, and their CVs.
3. Geographic location of the staff being proposed to support Council.
Note: Your ROI shall not exceed five A4 pages (excluding CVs).
The ROI is to be received no later than 5pm on Friday 2 October 2015 and shall be emailed to philippa.richardson@kapiticoast.govt.nz.
The last day for questions or clarifications on the ROI is Monday 28 September 2015.
All clarifications will be posted as notices on the GETS site.
