REGISTRATION OF INTEREST
CONTRACT 741 - BRANXHOLME WATER TREATMENT PLANT UPGRADE 2015
Suitably qualified contractors are invited to register their interest in the upgrading of the Branxholme Water Treatment Plant (WTP).
Council is looking for experienced contractors with a proven track record in the construction of brownfield water treatment plant infrastructure upgrades to undertake this important and strategic project.
The Branxholme Water Treatment Plant is owned and operated by the Invercargill City Council and is located at Branxholme. This plant is the sole reticulated water supply source for Invercargill and Bluff.
The major works include:
• The replacement of the existing filter floors and media
• Construction of 14.5 m x 5.7 m diameter backwash tank
• Supply and construction of a new lift pumping station including pumps
• Supply and construction of a UV / Peroxide dosing system
• Supply and construction of a GAC filter system
• Supply and construction of chemical plant systems (Lime, Poly Peroxide, Alum)
• Construction of 15 x 6 x 4.5 (deep) backwash waste water treatment system
• The reconstruction of the internal roading network
• And associated works including electrical, security fencing and lighting
