Overview

Horizons Regional Council (HRC) is looking to replace its existing flood forecasting system (HRC-FFS). The HRC-FFS consists of several different environments not limited to Kisters Hydrol Hydrological models (unsupported) and DHI-Mike11 1D Hydraulic models. HRC_FFS is used for real-time decision-making during weather events, providing early warning of flooding, and its replacement will be used for this purpose.

We seek to engage a credible provider and willing partner (the Vendor): who has capability, experience, capacity and a strong track record in flood forecast modelling to assist with the replacement of the existing HRC-FFS.
Council is providing this opportunity to:
o service providers with available resource to deliver in 2025. We have a deadline of 30 June 2025 from our funding agency.
o service providers with a proven capability, particularly with track record in NZ and Australasia; and
o service providers with experience in suitable flood forecasting software packages and platforms.
o Service providers willing to become long-term partners.
