Are you interested in Local Government efficiency? Want to get involved with Information Sharing across all New Zealand’s regional and unitary councils?
The Regional Sector Group is the sector of Local Government NZ that comprises the nation's regional and unitary councils (16 in total). The Regional Council/Unitary Chief Executive Officers are collectively responsible for the oversight of 26 Special Interest Groups that are profession-based groups covering the business functions of the councils.
The Regional Sector Chief Execs are looking for a Sector Executive Officer to join with them in driving outcomes including:
* Creating a sector that works in an aligned way to advocate for the collective interest of the regional sector and nation.
* Optimising the collective strengths of the sector for common outcomes.
* Forming productive and mutually beneficial relationships with government officials and strategically important Non-Government Organisations.
This role is for a two-year term (reviewed annually) and involves up to two days per week. More information can be found in the attached documents - including expectations for your proposed approach.
Interested parties should read the RFP document and annex before completing registration and subsequent full application.
We welcome your innovative proposal - show us what you would do to help us move the sector into the future!
