The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to gather information to inform a Request for Proposal (RFP) that will be released in October/November 2019.
All documentation is available on Tenderlink and can be accessed via reference HNZC-884034. RFP documents can be downloaded free of charge from www.tenderlink.com/hnzc/
If you have any technical issues please contact Tenderlink on 0800 698 363.
The RFP will be issued to seek suitable supplier(s) who can carry out quality compliance checks on specified systems to ensure our properties maintain their Building Warrant of Fitness Certifications and to meet HNZ policy in keeping tenants safe, e.g. testing of specialised systems for hearing impaired tenants.
HNZ manage and or own over 1300 properties nationwide that require compliance services.
It is preferred that the suppliers will also be qualified and equipped to carry out remedial work when building components do not meet compliance specifications. Elevator compliance checks are included but the remedial works are excluded from this piece of work.
Options for fire evacuation schemes on 287 buildings nationwide are also being explored.
This RFI is intended to gather information for internal business planning and budgeting purposes from potential suppliers only, it is not a tender process. We would really value your time and contribution to answering some of the questions outlined in this RFI.
Housing New Zealand (HNZ) want our customers to live well, with dignity and stability, in connected communities.
Critical to living well are our customers having somewhere that is safe, warm, dry and healthy that they are proud to call home. This is an important part of the journey we are taking as we aspire to be a world class social housing provider.
On 1 October 2019 Housing New Zealand transitions to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities. This will be the name which will apply to the upcoming RFP.
Kāinga Ora brings together the key housing delivery agencies – Housing New Zealand, our subsidiary HLC, and KiwiBuild. The new entity will lead urban development projects of all sizes and be a world-class public housing provider, with associated tenancy services and asset management responsibilities.
