Overview

We are seeking proposals for the delivery of a new Child, Adolescent & Youth Mental Health and Addictions service to address the current service gap in the Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago region. The proposed service should utilise a collaborative model of care to ensure comprehensive and holistic support for children and youth in the Central Otago region. The service will:
• Work closely with the Community Mental Health Team, NGO Providers and Primary Care to target early intervention and manage referrals.
• Co-ordinate with whānau, government agencies, education, mental health and addiction services to support pathways for child and youth to ensure access to culturally safe and appropriate care.
• Provide infant, child and youth mental health and addiction clinical consultation and co-ordination. This will include supporting referrers and whānau to access the most appropriate services across general practice, NGO and secondary services through joint assessments, care planning and review of those with a range of mental health needs.
The provider will:
• Undertake a co design process with tāngata whaiora, relevant government agencies, community stakeholders, NGO partners and secondary services to ensure a health pathways approach is taken to service configuration.
• Deliver a model of care that will enable outreach to the remote rural locations across Central Otago and Queenstown Lakes.

It is important to provide culturally safe services for young people in remote and/or rural locations. We’re looking for interest from parties which share our vision, and which have the expertise, capability and resources to lead a new Child and Youth Mental Health and Addictions service.

This is an opportunity to be a part of a new Child and Youth Mental Health and Addictions service through the development of an integrated model of care across the Queenstown Lakes and Central Otago Districts. Through developing community partnerships, the Child and Youth workforce and connecting with local services you will enhance options for tāngata whaiora and their whanau.
