Overview

Future Procurement Opportunity - Expanding Innovative HIV and STI testing
Project Reference - NP-01

In early 2025 Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora will be requesting proposals for innovative services to increase timely testing and diagnosis of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
Through this procurement we will be seeking to:
• increase the volume, reach, range and accessibility of testing for people at risk of HIV and other STIs
• reach those who are possibly unaware of their HIV status and connect them to the pathways of care
• create opportunity for an integrated approach to delivering HIV point-of-care testing alongside other STI tests to priority groups in a range of community-based settings.

We expect to open the Request for Proposals (RFP) during the week beginning 20 January 2025 or soon after.

Following the opening of the RFP, all interested providers will have an opportunity to ask questions including through an on-line briefing session (date to be confirmed). We encourage all interested providers to register with GETS and subscribe to the notice to receive timely updates regarding this RFP. Alternatively, you can register your interest by contacting Coral.Midwinter@tewhatuora.govt.nz.
