Overview

Health NZ – Hutt Valley is undertaking the construction of the Sir Mark Dunajtschik Mental Health Centre (the Project). This will be a new, fit for purpose, 34 bed inpatient Mental Health Facility located on the Hutt Valley Hospital site. This facility will be made possible through a generous donation from philanthropist Sir Mark Dunajtschik, and his partner Dorothy Spotswood.

The new building is predominantly a single storey structure with administration spaces located on the first floor which has reduced floor area when compared with the ground floor. There is a 1st floor Plant area in the Main Building as well as a separate Services Compound building to the south-west. Total projected building Gross Floor Area (GFA) is circa 3,200m2 with an additional circa 1,000m2 of external areas (courtyards, Secure Entry) and 1,000m2 of Service area (including 250m2 for the Services Compound plus roof void walkways and Plant Area).

The purpose of this tender is to elicit responses from interested Respondents to submit a full tender in response to this Request for Tender (the RFT). The conclusion of the RFT will identify a preferred supplier for the Project with whom Health NZ may enter into a construction contract.
