Overview

As part of the Peers in Emergency Department (ED) initiative, Health New Zealand| Te Whatu Ora is looking for interested service providers that will provide experienced peer support specialists that will work alongside clinicians to ensure a holistic and comprehensive approach that address the needs of people who present to ED with mental health and addiction needs. This initiative will initially progress as a trial running through until June 2026. It is expected that the service provider will also support the continual development of the service throughout this trial period.

It is anticipated that the request for proposal (RFP) following this FPO will be run jointly with across regions participating in the trial

Potential providers are encouraged to:
· Register your interest in participating in this opportunity with a contact name and email address
· Participate in the future sourcing process; and
· Ensure they have the resources to deliver the required outcomes within the trial target deployment date of:
* April 2025 for Wellington;
* March 2025 for Canterbury; and
* Feb/ March 2025 for Waikato;

Registered interest is not only welcomed from single providers but also proposals from a collaborative provider approach.

All registered providers will receive notification of the market listing when it goes live.
Note that no provider will be disqualified from participating in any future open procurement approach for these services if they do not register for this FPO.
