Health New Zealand - MidCentral, is planning to replace its largest and most critical Mechanical Plant Switchboard at Palmerston North Hospital. This project requires the supplier to install the 400-volt Mechanical Plant Switchboard in the basement of the Clinical Services Block North Tower. Replacement of the remaining three motor control centres will be progressively undertaken over the next two to three years. That further work is within the scope of this RFT.
The RFT is a request for responses setting out the provider’s approach, capacity, capability, and price to deliver the first phase of the services. Please note that MidCentral requires a supplier who:
• understands the critical nature of the work
• has experience undertaking similar significant works on critical electrical systems – in particular the ability to provide integration and control with SCADA and PME
• is able to provide local maintenance and breakdown support within 1-hour normal travel time of the hospital campus.
MidCentral will host a site visit for intersted suppliers at 11am on 11 June 2024. Please email our contact person by 5pm on 10 June 2024, to confirm your attendance and let us know the names of personnel attending. (Sandy.Brimblecombe@midcentraldhb.govt.nz)
Hard hats and suitable footwear and clothing are required ('high vis' is not required). Please park by Heretaunga Street Gate 2 entrance and assemble at the base of the boiler house chimney (shown on the map provided), by 10:50 am at the latest, ready for an 11am start.
