Mental health and wellbeing are priority areas for Government, and the Mental Health Infrastructure Programme (MHIP) of the Investment and Infrastructure Group (IIG) of Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) is a targeted workplan to modernize, improve and update the existing mental health infrastructure to deliver better outcomes for New Zealanders. The MHIP programme is overseen by the Infrastructure and Investment Group of Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand and requires differing levels of intervention dependent on the skills and experience present in the District in delivering capital projects.
The programme is made up of 16 projects across the mental health estate that require oversight, advice, or direct intervention. These projects are at various stages in their lifecycle and require close monitoring and management to ensure positive outcomes are achieved.
To support the MHIP Te Whatu Ora is seeking to source two Project Management Services Contractors skilled in construction and infrastructure management to deliver project management support and provide assistance in the ongoing delivery of the MHIP.
The Contractors will take responsibility for the day-to-day project management for a select number of MHIP projects that are currently being managed by the District’s. They will actively support the Project Director in the timely delivery of the projects and completing all necessary Te Whatu Ora reporting. The services will be delivered at the IIG offices in Wellington or remotely at the discretion of the Project Director.
